We’re thrilled to announce an exciting expansion at Classical Pilates of Long Island—one that honors our classical roots while embracing a broader vision of whole-body wellness.
Beginning this season, we welcome Jen Ward to our studio family. Jen is not only a certified Classical Pilates instructor, but also a pelvic floor specialist, licensed acupuncturist, Fletcher Pilates practitioner, women’s health coach, and Ayurvedic practitioner. Her depth of knowledge and integrative approach make her a truly unique addition to our team.

Jen’s Wellness Pilates Sessions are a hybrid experience—rooted in Classical Pilates but infused with complementary wellness modalities. These sessions are designed to support your body, mind, and spirit.

 Wellness Pilates Group Or Private Session 

  • This group or private session includes a 35-minute classical pilates session and a 15-minute wellness reset. This might be breathwork, stress-relief tips, hormonal health guidance, or simple support—so you leave not only stronger, but with a tool you can use in everyday life, off the mat.
  • Wellness Pilates Saturday Mat
  • This once-a-month group session includes a 35-minute classical pilates session focused on Classical Pilates Mat work and a 15-minute wellness reset. This might be breathwork, stress-relief tips, hormonal health guidance, or simple support—so you leave not only stronger, but with a tool you can use in everyday life, off the mat.
  • Wellness Pilates Saturday Tower 
  • This once-a-month group session includes a 35-minute classical pilates session focused on the Classical Pilates tower apparatus, followed by a 15-minute wellness reset. Shoulder & Posture Workshop

  • Shoulder and Posture: Pilates/Cupping/Acupressure/Towelwork Workshop Cupping Set, Towel $185: Cupping Set and Towel included
    Fletcher Towelwork is a movement technique performed to stabilize the shoulder girdle, improve upper body posture and awareness and increase shoulder range of motion using a specifically designed braided towel apparatus for the benefit of physical fitness.

    90 minute group coaching session. 30 minutes movement.
  • Fletcher Mat Pilates 5 weeks
  • Fletcher Pilates is a dance-informed approach to the Pilates method developed by Ron Fletcher, known for its emphasis on graceful, rhythmic, and organic movement alongside precise body control and alignment. It blends Joseph Pilates’s principles of body mechanics with the expressiveness of modern dance, particularly the Martha Graham technique, to create a unique style that incorporates features like Percussive Breath. Fletcher Pilates which was founded by Ron Fletcher and blends Joseph Pilates’s principles of body mechanics with the expressiveness of modern dance. Ron Fletcher was a first-generation Pilates teacher and his method emphasizes a holistic approach to wellness, focusing not just on physical conditioning but on the entire person. A signature breath technique is included where inhalations and exhalations are carefully controlled and rhythmic deepening engagement of the abdominal muscles. $250
    Upgrade option is $600 and adds 2 hour Full Health Assessment, 2 Acupuncture visits, 1 Virtual 30 minute Coaching, 1 Virtual 30 minute Pilates

I’m a comprehensively certified Classical Pilates Instructor with over two decades of experience in movement and wellness. My journey into Pilates became personal when it helped me resolve chronic nerve pain—something no other modality could reach. That healing experience shaped how I teach: with compassion, precision, and a whole-body perspective.

My work integrates the Classical Pilates method with complementary wellness practices, including acupuncture, Ayurveda, Fletcher towel and breathwork, pelvic floor-focused movement, and hormonal health coaching. I specialize in supporting women through every stage of life—from fertility and perimenopause to stress recovery and beyond.

My focus is always on wellness. Joseph Pilates created a system designed to treat the entire body for complete health, and I honor that vision in every session. The modalities I practice are chosen to support and enhance your Pilates experience, helping you move with clarity, breath, and purpose.
